Open after everyone else closes
Most shops around here close at 5. I answer texts the same day and come out after 5 or on a Saturday, so you are not closing early to wait on me.
Your machine never sits on my bench
I find the problem, order the part, and your computer stays with you until that part is in my hand.
You know the price before I drive out
Eighty-five the first hour. I give you a number this visit will not pass without you telling me to keep going.
If it is not worth fixing, I tell you
Then I help you find a good replacement instead of selling you one.
The things that stop a shop.
If it is a computer, a drive, a printer, or the network, there is a good chance I can help. If it is outside what I do, I will tell you straight and point you the right way.
Computers that will not boot, run slow, or crash
The front-desk machine that takes ten minutes to start, or will not start at all. I find the cause, not a guess.
Dead drives, and the files that were on them
Invoices, photos, the spreadsheet that runs the place. I attempt recovery, and you only pay if I get them back.
Wi-Fi and networks that keep dropping
Dead spots in the bay, a router older than the business, a card reader that loses signal. I fix the network, not the symptom.
New machines set up, old files moved over
Accounts, printers, the programs you actually use, and everything where you expect it. $99 per machine.
Printers that will not talk to the computers
Shared printers, label printers, the one that only works from one desk. I make them show up everywhere they should.
Several machines at once, all set up the same way
Two desks or ten. Same setup, same passwords policy, same printer, so nobody has to ask which computer does what.
Hourly, with a number you know first.
No contract, no monthly fee, no package you have to buy first. You pay for the hours I work, and before I drive out you get a number the visit will not pass without your okay.
The assessment is me walking your shop with a one-page sheet: every machine, how old, what is aging, what is backed up. You keep the sheet. It is the list that tells you what to fix first and what can wait.

One-hour minimum. All within about twenty minutes of the bench.

Two-hour minimum, because of the drive. Still the same rate.
I will haul them off free with any job.
I wipe the drives and hand you a paper saying they were wiped, so the old machines and whatever was on them are off your hands and off your mind.
One person, start to finish.
I am Dominic Stroder. Stroder Web Services is mine, out of Del City. I hand-code websites for local businesses, I run the servers behind them, and I fix the computers that run the shop. When you call, you get me. Not a rotating tech, not a call center.
Your data is your business. I do not open personal files, only what the repair needs. Any password you give me lives in an encrypted vault and is deleted when you ask. Before any hardware work I will ask for your machine's encryption recovery key, because without it the data on that drive can be lost for good.
