Privacy policy.
This is the SWS privacy policy in plain English. We collect what we need to do the work, we don't sell your data, we delete it on request. That's the short version.
Who we are
Stroder Web Services is a family-run web design agency operated by Dominic and Katie Stroder out of Del City, Oklahoma. Contact: [email protected] · (405) 458-0864.
What we collect
We collect information in three situations:
- Intake forms. If you submit our intake form for a website project, we collect the business and project information you give us. Your name, business name, contact info, services, brand notes, photos and assets, and similar items needed to build your site.
- Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number. Stripe sends us your name, email, and the amount paid; their privacy policy applies to how they handle the card data.
- Email correspondence. If you email us or reply to our outreach, we keep that thread for our records and to provide service.
We also use Google Analytics to understand which pages of our site get visited. It collects anonymized browser, device, and approximate location data. You can opt out via your browser settings or a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
How we use it
- To build, launch, and maintain your website.
- To communicate with you about your project, billing, and ongoing support.
- To send the occasional update related to your account (renewal reminders, security notices, monthly SEO reports if you're on a retainer).
- To improve our service and our site.
We do not sell your data, share it for advertising, or hand it to anyone outside the vendors listed below.
Who we share data with
We share the minimum data required with these vendors to operate the business:
- Stripe. Payment processing.
- Resend. Sending transactional email (welcome notes, review links, "your site is live" notifications, monthly reports).
- Google Search Console. If you're on an SEO retainer, we connect to your GSC property to read search performance data.
- Cloudflare. DNS and CDN for your site.
- Namecheap. Domain registration on your behalf, in your name.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any other party. We will only disclose data if legally required (subpoena, valid court order, etc.).
How long we keep it
We keep client project files (intake data, brand assets, build artifacts) for as long as you are an active or recently-active client (within the last 24 months). After that, we periodically purge old project data unless you ask us to keep it. Email correspondence is kept indefinitely unless you ask us to delete it. Stripe billing records are kept per Stripe's policies and tax law (typically 7 years for tax records).
Your rights
You can:
- Ask what data we have on file about you.
- Ask us to correct or update it.
- Ask us to delete it (subject to tax-record retention requirements where applicable).
- Opt out of any non-essential email by replying or clicking unsubscribe in the email footer.
Email [email protected] and we'll respond within 5 business days.
Cold outreach emails
If you received an unsolicited email from us, your email address came from a public Google Maps listing or your business website. Every cold outreach email includes an unsubscribe link. Click it once and you'll never receive another email from us. You can also reply with "stop" or "unsubscribe" and we will manually add you to our blocklist.
Cookies
Our site uses Google Analytics, which sets analytics cookies in your browser. We do not set any other cookies. We do not use any advertising or retargeting cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings without affecting site functionality.
Children
Our service is for businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy occasionally. Material changes will be reflected by a new "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and we will notify active clients by email if the change affects them.
