Will my existing Google rankings transfer?
The best protection is keeping your existing URLs, and I do that wherever it makes sense. When an address has to change, I map the old page to its new one with a redirect so Google and your customers land in the right place. Nobody can promise rankings after a rebuild, but this is how I keep as much of what Google already knows about your site as I can.
