Swap and test
Bezel off, old panel and cable out, new panel in, and I test the full screen for dead pixels and backlight evenness before it goes back together.

The machine comes back on and you look at it. Thirty day warranty on the work.
What I will not pretend I can do.
If your laptop has a fused touchscreen assembly, the glass and the panel are bonded together and there is no such thing as replacing just the cracked glass. That is a whole-assembly job and the price reflects the assembly, which is genuinely more. I will tell you that up front rather than quoting you a cheap panel and surprising you later.
And if the panel is fine but the graphics chip on the board has failed, that is a different and much worse problem. I will tell you honestly when a machine is not worth the repair instead of taking your money for a screen that was never the issue.

Depends entirely on the machine. On a decent laptop a screen swap is easily worth it. On an older budget machine with soldered memory and eMMC storage, sometimes it is not, and I will tell you that for free rather than charging you to hear it. How do I find my laptop model number?
Flip it over. There is a sticker on the bottom with the model on it, something like HP 15-dy2795wm. Text me a photo of that sticker and it is all I need.
Can you just replace the cracked glass and keep the screen?
On most laptops there is no separate glass, so no. On fused touchscreen assemblies the glass and panel are bonded and it is an assembly replacement. I will tell you which one yours is before quoting.
